Message When I was in my late teens, my acute realization of our mortality set up my primary purpose in life to be to experience it to the fullest, in all its breadth and depth. Then,a transcendental self –realisatory experience showed me how huge that potential was! And in the process of trying to achieve this potential I came to understand that the only barrier to achieving it was an extremely stupid part of ourselves- our self-importance. If we were to free ourselves of it completely, we would achieve total freedom, or liberation of the soul, or what is referred to as “Moksha” in Hindu philosophy. After a couple of decades spent in pursuing this goal, I finally realized that this can never be a realizable primary goal, simply because if one pursues Moksha for oneself one has not got rid of self-importance, the enemy of Moksha! The only realistic goal we could really have is to abandon ourselves completely to the Spirit (or God, if you want to call it that, I don't, it has too many connotations I don't agree with!) and try.every second of our lives, to fulfil its designs, as impeccably as possible. And THAT'S some task! If, in the process, we achieve Moksha, that's a big bonus! This journey of mine is totally life –centric since I believe the design of the Spirit is to use the vehicle of life for its “Leela” and experience an infinity of experiences. So within the limits of my primary goal and all the struggle and hardship it entails, I try to satisfy my silent lust for life, no matter what it is that I'm engaged in. I would like to experience all of life but there is too little time for even a minute part of it!
